Caroline was born in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1979 and has lived in Minnesota throughout her career. She graduated with a BFA in photography from the College of Visual Arts, St. Paul in 2001. Currently she is in her final year of completing her MFA degree at the University of Minnesota. She teaches photography as a graduate at the U and works at the College of Visual Arts as their Photography Studio Technician. She also photographs other events and oddities she encounters along the way.

Currently she lives just outside the cities close to her family with her three cats and six cameras.
